(東尋坊) Tojinbo: Fukui Cliffs

  

Been eyeing this for a while, but didn't think it's worth it to travel all the way to Fukui just for this. But since I plan to get an unlimited pass for the area, might as well try it. 

Budget: JPY1,940 (~USD18) from Fukui Station

• JPY1,540. Train, Fukui < >  Mikuniminato Station (JPY770 one way)
• JPY400. Bus, Mikuniminato Station < > Tojinbo (JPY200 one way)

• Target: 2021

When to Go
Anytime during the year, and I'm shooting for sunset. 

Special Notes

• Weather check: Japanese
• Easily accessible. Google maps pin. 
• Train, Fukui Station to Mikuniminato Station. JPY770, 50 minutes one way (not JR)
• First train at 6:15am, last train at 11;12pm. Train comes twice an hour (generally at hh:09 and hh:39 except for the first and last couple of trains). 
• Bus. Mikuniminato Station (三国港駅) JPY200, 5 minutes one way.  
• Based on this schedule, earliest bus at 8:36am, last one at 5:16pm. So no sunrises or sunsets.

• Enough buses and trains to just go anytime during the day - generally between 8:36am and 5:16pm though.
