Special Notes
- Website. The festival is cancelled for the 2021 due to coronavirus, but the flowers will still be there.
- Flowers start blooming early February to mid March.
- There is night illumination for the festival period, running from mid-Feb to early April.
- Going to Izu, consider getting the Izu Pass. It's a bit expensive and can only be bought when you are actually in Izu (Ito Station), so it may end up being not worth it, so do your calculations ahead of time.
- Nearby is the Kawazu Seven Falls, which is a short but pleasant stroll, surrounded by nature.
- Access:
- Train, Tokyo to Kawazu Station.
- Ideally at dusk so as to enjoy the scenery during the day and the night illumination.
